B2Bi and EAI Users
When an organisations wants to exhange electronic messages between their systems and those of their trading partners(B2Bi) or between their internal systems (EAI), they will need an integration solution or gateway.
Up till now, organisations had two choices:
- Buy-in technology such as Tibco or WebMethods and build their own solution, or
- Outsource development and operations to a service provider or integrator.
MXC provides a third option which has the best of these previous two options.
For a customer that uses MXC hosted by a service provider, it removes the need for up-front investment since there is no need to select and purchase integration technology and build a solution; it also removes the need to then buy and maintain infrastructure; and therefore it also reduces the need for specialist staff. And, it means the customer only pays for what they use as they use it.
Importantly, the customer still retains the ability to have their staff develop and manage their messaging requirements and so keep control of their business transactions and their development costs.
Therefore, the customer gains all the financial and efficiency benefits of the outsourced model while retaining the control normally associated with owning their technology and infrastructure.
